ECHEVERIA – SUCCULENT

Echeveria’s a non-hardy desert succulent from the Crassulaceae family. The leaves are fleshy and have a waxy cuticle on the exterior. Echeveria succulent plants come in many different colors of leaves, it looks amazing in patio planters.

Planting & Care

Sunlight: Echeveria like full sun. However, try to avoid these two things: drastic sunlight changes and summer afternoon full sun.

Soil: Like all succulents, Echeveria needs soil that drains quickly.

Watering: Echeveria doesn’t like to be kept too wet, but they also don’t like to be kept too dry.

Fertilizer: Fertilizer is not a continual requirement for Echeveria. However, they can benefit from the occasional extra boost. Use a slow-release fertilizer at the beginning of spring, or a liquid fertilizer diluted 2-4 times more than normal

Temperature: In spring and summer, average to warm 65-80°F/18-27°C. Slightly cooler in fall and winter 55-75°F/13-24°C.

Pruning: Echeveria is self-pruning. All you may need to do is pick out the dead leaves or flowers. Picking out the dead leaves prevents rot or disease taking over the plant.
